NAVAL CONVERSATIONS.

LESS PESSIMISTIC FEELING.

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Nov. 21

The attitude of the Japanese Government toward questions addressed to their delegates in London during the recent Anglo-Japanese naval conversations was further discussed this evening, when the Japanese Ambassador, Mr Matsudaira, made a routine call on Sir John Simon (Foreign Secretary) at the Foreign Office. The conversation was of a friendly character, and, although it has not brought in sight a solution or outstanding differences, it is believed to have served a useful purpose. Further conversations, which will probably be prolonged, appear to be in prospect, and feeling in informed circles here is slightly less pessimistic.
