MR ULM’S INTENTIONS

MONTREAL, Nov. 21

Mr C. T. P. Ulm intends to fly to Vancouver via the United States, including Detroit, on Thursday or Friday, depend : ng how tests go. “Practically the entire aeronautical community of Canada has advised me not to fly from Montreal to Winnipeg,” he said. “They say that there is apt to be plenty of ice and snow which would add to the hazards of the trip.” Mr Ulm still hopes to find a beach or suitable place for taking off with an overload in the vicinity of Vancouver so as to make it primarily a Canada to Australia flight. Messrs Skilling and Littlejohn, members of his crew, are. with Mr Ulm.
