“WILD WEST” FAILURE.
A MELBOURNE CONCERN. Rec4ived November 23, 12.15 p.m. MELBOURNE, Nov. 23. The affairs of the Wild Australia Stampede, now in liquidation, were investigated at a meeting of unsecured creditors. The failure was due to bad weather, also criticism by organisations opposed to cruelty to animals. It. was explained that the capital value of the shares was £IO,OOO, all fully-paid. The deficiency was £4176. Included in the assets were 32 cattle, 43 horses, and 24 donkeys. They are expected to realise £4OO. Among the items of expenditure were £3411 in fares in bringing rougliriders and Red Indian “bronco busters” from the United States, and £3131 to bring stock to Melbourne. • A committee of investigation has been appointed.
