GOOD CLASS HACK FIELDS. WIN AND PLACE SYSTEM. The annual meeting of the Levin Racing Club will be held to-morrow. The fields carded arc excellent and patrons from this district should find an interesting day’s sport awaiting them. The club intends operating the win and place system of betting, and the opening event is set down for 12 o’clock The following horses with form to commend them are down to compote : Maiden Race. —Otauru King, Sporting Song, Colossal. Lake Hack.—Arctic King, Ebeum, Bold Jim. McDonald Memorial. —Slippery, Navaho, Royal Routine. Hokio Hack. Delium, Instalment, Bodylinc. t AT TAKAPUNA. A race meeting will also be in progress at Ellerslie, where the Takapuna Jockey Club’s two-day fixture v/ill open. Horses in form down to compete are: Melrose Hack. Express, Whirling, Arouse.
