The air race fliers, Parmentier and Moll, have arrived. Forty thousand were present to publicly welcome them and the entire proceedings were broadcast. The schools were closed and Amsterdam was beflagged. Accompanied by their wives and Herr Anthony Fokker in an illuminated and decorated car, they led a procession to the city, where rast crowds lined the decorated streets.
