PERSONAL.
Mr B. J. Jacobs, who has been attending the conference of servicemen in Melbourne, will return to the Dominion on the -26th inst., arriving at Auckland. Mr R. H. J. Camiu, manager of the Christchurch branch of the Commercial Bank of Australia, Ltd., has been appointed manager of the chief office of the bank in South Australia, at Adelaide. Mr W. H. Swanger, for many years secretary of the Wanganui Education Board, now resides at Taupo. Recently he was appointed to act as a Justice of the Peace. At the monthly meeting of the board yesterday it was decided that Mr Swanger should be congratulated on his appointment. Congratulations were extended at the old boys’ reunion of the Palmerston North 'Boys’ High School last evening, to two popular and highly respected masters on their long association with the school. They were Mr J. Colquhoun (first assistant), who has had 21 years’ of service at the school, and Mr W. P. Anderson (second assistant), who has completed 25 years.
