NEW RADIO PLANT.

TESTING IN DECEMBER. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Nov. 21 The last section of the new YA mast at Henderson was hauled into position to-day, thus completing the largest radio mast south of Mexico City. The mast is 500 feet high. All that remains to he done is the rigging of the aerial and the tightening of a few holts.

There are signs of intense activity in the transmitter building, where truck loads of equipment are arriving every few minutes. The plant has been built in Sydney, where it was assembled and fully tested prior to dismantling and shipping. It is anticipated that the plant will be ready for the final tests some time next month. By that time the Shortland Street studios of the new station should also be ready for occupation.
