GREETED BY MILLION PEOPLE. TREMENDOUS ENTHUSIASM. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received Novdmber 22, 1.45 p.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 22. Thousands of citizens assembled at hundreds of different points this morning to witness the arrival of Prince Henry aboard the Sussex. Every headland was thronged with people and thousands of others were afloat in ferries, launches, yachts, and row boats to welcome the Ambassador of the Empire. Accompanied by a naval and Air Force escort, the Sussex entered the harbour at 8.30 and proceeded to her mooring at Farm Cove, salutes being exchanged en route. Altogether 35 aeroplanes and seaplanes circled overhead as the crowd on the shore cheered the Royal visitor, whose arrival had been so eagerly awaited. From an early hour the brilliantly decorated streets began to fill with citizens, and rooftops and windows in the vicinity of tho routo to be followed by the procession soon were occupied to capacity. It is estimated over 1,000,000 people gathered in the city, while 50,U00 pacKed Martin Place alone. After the official visit had been paid Prince Henry aboard the Sussex by the Governor (Sir Philp Game) he was conveyed to the shore in the Royal barge to the accompaniment of a salute of 21 guns. Landing at Farm Grove, the Duke of Gloucester was received by gubernatorial, Parliamentary, and civic officials and an address of loyalty and welcome ■ was presented by the Lord Mayor, after which the Royal procession, with military aircraft and police escorts, commenced, stopping at the Cenotaph where the Duke of Gloucester placed a wreath on the step. Continuing to Government Housfe, Prince Henry inspected a guard of honour, also Victoria Cross winners and blinded soldiers. Shortly after noon official calls were paid to Prince Henry by the Lieutenant-Governor Sir Philip Street, and the Premier, Mr B. S. B. Stevens. In the afternon Prince Henry attended the special Randwick race meeting in his honour.
