OBITUARY.

GENERAL SIR L. BUNDLE.

LONDON, Nov. 19. The death has occurred of General Sir Leslie llundle.

General Sir Henry Macleod Leslie Bundle, G.C.8., G.C.V.0., G.C.M.G., D. 5.0., was born in 1856. He was educated at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich and entered the Army in 1876. He served in the Zulu War in 1879, in the Boer War in 1881, the Egyptian War in 1882, the Nile Expedition 1884-85, the Sudan Frontier Field Force, 1885-87, on the Sudan Frontier 1889, and with the Dongola Expeditionary Force in 1896. He was subsequently Adjutant-General of the Egyptian Army, and also served m the* Khartoum Expedition of 1896. On his return to England he held important military positions and was Deputy-Adjutant-General to the Forces in 1899-1900. He was Governor and Commander-in-Chief at Malta from 1909 to 1915. LADY McEACHARN. LONDON, Nov. 19. The death has occurred of Lady McEacharn, widow of the late Sir Malcolm McEacliarn. The late Sir Malcolm McEacharn was a member of the firm of Mcllwraith, McEachran and Co. Proprietary, Ltd., steamship owners, merchants and coal contractors, in Australia. He was a former Lord Mayor of Melbourne and sat in the House of Representatives for Melbourne-in the first Commonwealth Parliament in 1901-03. The late Lady McEacharn was, before her marriage in 1882, Miss Mary 'Watson, of Bendigo, Victoria. She was Sir Malcolm’s second wife.
