GAOL SENTENCE ORDERED. Received November 21, 10.55 a.m. MELBOURNE, Nov. 21. Rupert Coughlin, aged 38, was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment for conspiring in the ringing in of the horse Redlock at the Murray Bridge races. Coughlin was charged with conspiring with two other men to defraud the Murray Bridge Racing Club, between March 13 and July 13. It was alleged that Coughlin falsely represented on an entry form, and by other means, that a racehorse entered in the Trial Stakes at the club’s meeting on July 28 was Redlock, whereas the horse ivas actually Erbie, which won the race.
