LONGBURN.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONGBURN, Nov. 21.. A dance to aid the candidature of Miss June Scott, the Pipe Band queen, was held in the hall last evening. Duo, no doubt, to the inclement weather conditions, there was not a large attendance; nevertheless an enjoyable time was spent. Splendid old-time dance music was supplied by a professional orchestra, Mr A. MeDuff being M.C. A euchre tournament was held, the winners being Mrs Brockliss and Mr B. Pratt. Mrs Christensen has returned home from Dannevirkc. Mrs Holder has gone to Fcilding. Mr Marshall has returned homo after spending an enjoyable holiday with friends in Whangarci.
