Lawrence, LL.B., lately of the Diocese of Dunedin, has been offered and has accepted the position of .assistant curate in the parish of Christ Church, Wanganui. Mr T. E. Rose, the son of Mr E. J. Rose, of Rongotea, lias been transferred from the Palmerston North branch of the Bank of New Zealand to Raetilii. He was met recently by the staff and presented with a leather case. A Christchurch Press Association meesage announces the death of Mr Peter Lloyd Davies, aged 64, formerly a well-known land agent and a keen sportsman. He was an ex-president_of the Canterbury Football Association and also a prominent bowler and Freemason.
