TERRACE END SCHOOL JUBILEE.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—As one who was privileged to attend the whole of the jubilee celebrations of the Terrace End echoed would like to offer my congratulations to the chairman (Mr W. rennent), members of the School Committee, Ladies’ Committee, Jubilee Committ e, headmaster, and the teaching > and all who assisted in making t celebrations the undoubted success tn y were. One of the joys, particularly to the old scholars of the school, was to find Mr T. F. Fairbrother, who was headmaster for a period of 30 years, taking an active and leading part in all the different functions. It must have been a very great pleasure to him to find that his labours of so man} years were recognised in a fitting wav. Too much praise cannot be given the indefatigable secretary, Mr H. Blackwood, who worked so hard to make the affair a success. The whole of the proceedings were earned out in a most satisfactory manner and reflect the greatest credit upon all concerned. —I am, etc., _ J. A. NASH, M.P.
