GERMAN FORCES.
A FRENCH ESTIMATE. BIG ARMY AVAILABLE
Received November 20, 1.25 p.m. PARIS, Nov. 19. The army estimates . declare that Germany will be able in 1935 to mobilise 5,500,000 troops in a few days, namely 1,200,000 regular troops and police, the remainder being reserves in Herr Hitler’s labour army, the others including Storm Troops, but not including 3500 trained pilots with a huge number of ’planes. The estimates add that arms and ammunition' factories are speeding up and the result will be that in a few months Germany will have more than in 1914.
France’s budget seeks £76,000,000, nearly £3,500,000 less than in 1934, not including expenditure on frontier fortification. The reduction is due t.o the cuts which M. Doumergue enacted.
