ASHHURST.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASHHURST, Nov. 12.
The Ashhurst Defence Rifle Club held a practice. shoot last Saturday over the 300, 500, and 600yds ranges. The afternoon was fine, with a bright light., A very tricky wind blowing from the right was at times almost impossible to determine, and most scores suffered, twos being numerous. Detailed scores are as follow:—R. A. Jones, 34—29—27—90; J. Griffiths, 24-28—27—79; S. Brookie, 19 —31 —23—73; H. Barlow, 21 — 29—22—72; K. Hanson, 16—25—12—52. Two ranges only: J. Searle, 28—32—60; C. Thomson s 25—29 —54.
