SEQUEL TO FAREWELL TO HOCKEY PLAYERS. There is one young Christchurch man who still has reason to remember the farewell to the North Island Ladies’ Hockey teams from Lyttelton. Leaving his friends at the crowded gangway, this young man, with his particular friend, sought a more secluded spot to bid farewell. It was a cold night and the parting was prolonged, and it was not until the boat was out of sight that our young friend felt that shivery feeling which is so often the forerunner of a cold.
