DISCOVERY OF STILL.

IN AWARUA DISTRICT

Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Nov. 5. A large still in lull working order, with nearly 200 gallons of wash and a quantity of eompJete spirit, was seized in the Awarua district this afternoon by the Collector of Customs and a party of police. It is understood that further developments are pending.

RAID AT HORNBY. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. Nov. 5. A raid on premises occupied by John Pembertliy Bashford in Leslie’s Road, Hornby, was carried out by police officers and a Customs officer this morning. It is alleged that the raiding party found there a still and a quantity of whisky which were taken away by the police. Baslilord will appear in Court charged with having an illicit still.
