Dr Goering’s decree against profiteering states that the punishment cannot be too great for those seeking to profit at the expense of the welfare of the people. Herr Breslau, Chief of Police, has closed 24 butchers’ shops because the prices were too high. Plumbers and builders are not allowed to use brass and copper.
