WEDDING.

MANDAHL—ROSS

At Wellington on 'Wednesday, October 24, the wedding took place quietly at the Vivian Street Baptist Church, of Mona R. Ross, only daughter of Mrs G. L Spence, Gisborne, and Albert Henry, elder son of Mr and Mrs H. C. Mandahl, Derby Street, Feilding. RevL. J. Boulton-Smith conducted the ceremony.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle. Mr E. Brassington, wore a simple frock of white crepe marocain cut on long and slender lines with full-lengtli fitting sleeves, corsage finished with a large white hand-made rose, and skirt pleated back and front at the liemline. Her veil of embroidered tulle was worn with an Aliee-in-Won-derland bandeau of orange blossom and she carried a beautiful bouquet of white carnations, lilies of the valley, sweet peas and irises, tied with corded ribbon. Her bridesmaids were Miss Violet Miller, of Gisborne (chief) and Miss Irene Moutt, of Wellington. The former wore a frock of lapis lazuli blue figured crepe marocain with sleeves puffed to the elbows from where they were tight-fiting, and gracefully flared skirt. Her bandeau was of flowers to tone and her bouquet was in pink and blue shading. Miss Moutt was in shellpink silk voile over a deejier pink and trimmed with accordion pleating. Her bandeau and bouquet were of flowers to tone. Mr G. lnnes-Jones, of Feilding, was best man, the groomsman being Mr Ivan Mandlial (brother of the bridegroom). A small reception was afterwards held at the home of Mr and Mrs Brassington, the floral decorations of which were attractively carried out in yellow and orange colouring. Mrs Brassington received her guests in a frock of brown fleuretta with brown and orange striped trimming, and a hat cn suite. Mrs Spence was wearing black ciepe marocain and a model hat in sand straw. Mr and Airs Alandalil later left for the North, the bride travelling in a dress of brown crepe marocain, which had I aceordeon-pleated epaulettes touched I with orange, and a large bow at one side of the neckline. She also wore a coatee to match and a brown straw hat relieved with orange.
