JONES AND WALLER. LESSONS FROAI FLIGHT. FOR REGULAR SERVICE
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received November 3, 9.40 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 2.
Jones and Waller landed at Lympne at 1.15 p.m. from Athens on their return flight from Australia. Jones said the return flight was made in order to set an example which could be copied and used on a commercial basis. “We flew only from sunrise to sunset, yet covered 2200 miles daily. We are not a bit tired. We slept in beds at night and had our meals regularly. We had full . opportunities for shaving and bathing. 1 think anybody could make such a flight in the same time, provided the right tvpe of machine was available. There is no reason. why a commercial service should not run from London to Melbourne on similar lines,” he said.
