SALTATION ARMY.

WELCOME TO OFFICERS,

There was a good atendance at the Salvation Army Citadel in Broadway on Thursday night, when a welcome was extended to Adjutant H. G. Wallace and Mrs Wallace, who are assuming their duties in succesion to the late Major Fraser Prior to the public welcome the band, under Bandmaster York, assembled at the quarters and marched the officers to the citadel, where Brigadier Cottrill presided. Addresses were delivered by Treasurer Craven, Sergeant-Major Sunnis, Bandmaster Yoidr, Miss Carlisle (for the young people), Mrs Penketh (on behalf of Milson’s Line Sunday School), and Mrs Hoare, also by Major Miles (for the division) and Mrs Cottrill. Items were interspersed by the band and songsters and at the conclusion refreshments were served.
