PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS.
SAFETY ENCOURAGED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Oct. 30. The Minister of Transport (Mr L. Hore-Belisha). has stated that 5000 pedestrian crossing places have been marked in central London, and 5000 more will be laid down. The scheme is being applied in the provinces. He was satisfied, he said, that they were already leading to a more orderly nse of roadways by the general community.
