FINANCES IN BRITAIN.
THE PRESENT POSITION. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Oct. 30. Exchequer returns for the past week show that during the current financial year the total ordinary revenue, exclusive of self-balancing revenue, amounted at October 27 to £321,864,553, which is £3,130,230 more than the amount collected at the corresponding date last year. Expenditure for the same period, exclusive of self-balancing items, was £384,138,074, which exceeds the amount 'expended at the corresponding date of last year by £8,314,908.
