WELL ORGANISED EXHIBITION. FURTHER AWARDS. The Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association’s Spring Show was continued under ideal weather conditions this afternoon, early in which there were indications that there would be a very good attendance of the public. The well-organised exhibition was proceeding smoothly and efficiently. Further awards announced are as follows :
PEDIGREE CATTLE. ABERDEEN ANGUS. (Judge: Mr L. Cowan, Dannevirke.) Bulls. —Bull calved prior to July 1, 1931: J. F. Knight’s (Newbury) Nero of AVaiterenui 1 and champion, A• B. H. Washer’s Rusty Jack 3; 11 entries. Lady’s hack, ridden by a lady: A. W. Parson’s Spearopa 1, P. Tilson’s Double Red 2, Aliss Morrison’s Jester 3 ; 9 entries. RING EVENTS. THE JELLICOE CUP. The Jellicoe Cup, valued at £ls 15s, for the best girl rider under 17 years of age, resulted as follows this afternoon : Miss Dawne Bousfield (Waipukurau) 1 Miss Peggy Hartland (Waipukurau) 2 Miss Delphin Adsett (Colyton) ... 3 There were live competitors. Miss Peggy Hartland was the winner last year. Best boy rider (under 12 years).—Athol McGuinness (Mart-on) 1, C. Ferguson (Ashhurst) 2, Brian Brown (Manakau) 3; five entries. Best girl rider (under 12 years).— Miss Joan McGuinness (Mastertonj 1, Miss Ethelwyn Farland (Glen Oroua) 2, Miss Molly O’Regan (Kairanga) 3; five entries.
