RIGHTS OF PEDESTRIANS.
REGULATIONS AT HOME. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Oct. 29. The new regulations to the pedestrian crossings recently constituted in the streets and roads in London and many other parts of the country will come into operation tomorrow. They do not compel pedestrians to cross the road at the places officially indicated, but express the hope that the crossings will be used. Where traffic is controlled by police or light signals, the regulations give a pedestrian absolute right of way only when traffic has been definitely stopped. At uncontrolled crossings the pedestrian has the right of way at all times and traffic must give way to him. He is obliged, however, to cause as little hindrance as possible to other traffic.
