SCHOOL ROLLS.

EFFECTS OF SICKNESS. Measles and other forms of sickness still continue to make heavy inroads on the attendances at the local schools, and at Manchester Street School the average number away last week out of a roll of approximately 340 pupils was 100. At the request of the School Committee, the school was disinfected by the borough inspector and it) is hoped that this will check the epidemic of measles, etc., in some degree. Conditions as regard the attendance at Lytton Street School are much the same as at the sister school, and on Monday morning only 10 primer children were present.
