CONTROL OF INDUSTRIES.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 30. Tho formation of a permanent council or commission of industries to decide national questions affecting the manufacturing industry in New Zealand and also the limitation of new factories are two chief proposals that are made in the report issued to day by a committee of manufacturers appointed in July last by the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation. The committee comprised Messrs I. Matbeson, J. T. Spears, W. McLay, E. R. Norman and A. E. Mander, who were appointed to consider the possibility of greater industrial co-ordination than exists at present. The report was discussed at a special meeting of the Wellington Manufacturers’ Association held to-night.
