ITALIAN WOMAN REPRIEVED.
A mesasge from Rome states that the King has reprieved a 55-year-old woman who was sentenced to life imprisonment three years ago for murder. Following a magazine’s referendum of readers on the case, Signor Mussolini saw a contribution by the woman’s counsel expressing the conviction that she was not guilty, and thereupon ordered an inquiry, as a result of which he recommended a pardon.
