WEEKLY TOURNAMENTS

The customary tournaments were conducted at the local R.S.A. Club last week. Wednesday evening was devoted to a snooker tourney when 14 members participated, the winner proving to be Mr C. R. S. Wright, with Messrs L. Little and J. W. Rutherfurd filling the minor places. The highest scratch score was registered by Mr Little, who compiled 57 in one of his games.

On Friday evening 36 members took part in a euchre tournament, two hours’ interesting play resulting. The winner proved to be Mr E. Chapman, who won 12 of the 14 games played, while Mr C. Aitken took second place after a play-off with Mr P. W. McEwan.
