WOODVILLK, Oct. 29 The Woodville cricket team met Old Boys at Woodville in the first of the Hunter Shield games. Old Boys won the toss and sent Woodville in to bat, the home sice being dismissed for 50 runs. The only batsman to reach double figures was Gallon (11). Oivcn had the best bowling figures with four for 6. The visitors made 99 in their first innings, Owen (30) Bailey (14) and Brcnton-Rulc (13) giving the best performance. Gallon (4 for 28), and Mair (3 for 22) were the most successful bowlers. Woodville commenced their second innings but opened disastrously, three wickets falling for 19 at stumps. The game will be continued at Dannevirke next Saturday. Miss G. Benbow, of Ormondyille, is spending a holiday with friends at Woodville. Mr C. Wright, of the railways staff, at Woodville, has been transferred to Frankton Junction. Mr and Mrs BeiLahn and Miss Nola Berkalm have returned to Ormondville. after spending; a shoit holiday with relatives at IN oodv die. M P Boardman, who has been attached to the Dannevirke railway clerical staff since May of last year, has been transfeired t Woodville.
