STATE FARM.

NO BID SECURED

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 30. No bid has been received for the State experimental farm at Te Kauwhata where the Government established the wine-making industry. The farm was established over thirty years ago. The sale was recommended by the National Expenditure Commission in its report on State enterprises, but the proposal was the subject of strong protests in the House of Representatives, and further protests were heard when the announcement of the Government that it was proposed to offer the farm for sale was made.
