EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.
THE “UNKNOWN DESTINATION.”
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Oct. 30. The “unknown destination” of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force when it left the Dominion in 1914 was made known by General Sir Alexander Godley at a function in his honour last night. .' .. “When we sailed,” he said, our orders were to go to Durban to help, if necessary, to quell a rebellion which had broken out there. Our instructions were not changed until we had. been some time at sea.”
