AMBUSH SUCCEEDS

VANCOUVER, Oct. 26.

Tlie Mexico Chamber of Deputies has been informed that 15 persons were ambushed and killed in a fight between militant Catholic elements and local authorities near Tantuato Michoaea. The ambuscade, the Deputies were informed, was arranged by a religious faction.

Those killed include seven soldiers, an army officer, a municipal councillor, and six civilians. It is reported that they were ambushed when pursuing religious demonstrators.
