At a recent concert given by the Wanganui Male Voice Choir, a musical critic of Christchurch referred to them as the “Don Cossacks of New Zealand” and said that the gradations in lone were reminiscent of that, famous body of singers.
The Wanganui Male Choir, which is visiting Palmerston North on Tuesday, the 30t.h inst., was founded in 1898 and has seen continuous service since that date. This is the first occasion on which the cho'uA|has appeared in Palmerston North.
