INJURY TO MOTORIST.
DOCTOR’S TIMELY ARRIVAL.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Oct. 29.
While motoring to Wanganui . on Sunday afternoon, a Wellington resident, Mr Pobar, sustained a serious injury to a forearm, and but for tho fact that medical aid was at hand the result might have proved fatal. The car in which Air Pobar was travelling skidded in loose metal and left tho road, running into a bank, Mr Pobar's left arm being thrust through thick plate glass, and an artery severed, lie was bleeding profusely when, a doctor hajipcned to pass, and after rendering first aid the doctor had the injured man conveyed by ambulance to the Palmerston North Hospital. Air Pobar’s condition to-day is satisfactory.
CAPSIZE OF CAR
DRIVER INJURED
Injuries to the neck were sustained by Mr Alexander Lawson Andrews, of Cleveley’s Line, Bunnythorpe, at about 5 o’clock on Saturday afternoon, when the car lie was driving capsized through a tyre bursting. The accident occurred a.t a corner on the Stoney Creek Road and the five-seater vehicle was precipitated over a culvert. A complete somersault was made and tlie car landed on its wheels. Mr Andrews was attended by the Free Ambulance and brought to the Palmerston North Hospital, where his condition to-day was reported to be satisfactory.
