FUNERAL OF AIRMEN.
HOMAGE AT NAPLES,
GRIEF OF FIANCEE

The Consul-General (Mr Fisher), representing the British Government, Colonel Hetheringtou, representing the Air Ministry and the Aero Club, and the entire British colony attended the funeral of Flying-Officer Gilman and Mr J. K. Baines, at the Anglican Church, Naples. The church was decorated with Italian and British colours. Masses of flowers covered the coffins, which were carried by Italian Air Force officers, who formed a guard of honour. During the service Miss Edith Wilson, Flying-Officer Gilman’s fiancee, placed her. engagement ring on the coffin and knelt beside it, gritf-stricken. . After the service Fascist niilita carried the coffins to the Anglican cemetery, where they were interred.
