MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Messrs J. T. Bosworth and W. L. Black, J.P.’s, presided at a sitting of tlio Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Walter Bi9liop aged 21, a labourer, was charged with being deemed to be an idle and disorderly person within the meaning of the Police Offences Act 1927, in that he had insufficient lawful visible means of support. Un the application of Senior-Sergeant Wliitebouse accused was remanded until Monday. John Tima Wereta, aged 28, _ was charged that he did, in incuiring a debt of £l, on October 3, at Palmerston North, the amount of the hire ot a taxi-cab, obtain credit by fraud. He was also charged that in lncuiiinga debt of 12s with Aard taxis he did obtain credit by fraud. On the application of Senior-Detective Quirke accused was remanded to appear on Monday. i Allan James McLeavey was charged that, on or about May 11, 1932, and on divers dates between that and September 30, 1933, at Palmerston North, he did commit the theft of £942 15s 1 ’ r^ c , of the estate of W. h.
