(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Oct. 26. Shooting on. the Lulls range on Monday night, T. Prichard won tho Handicap Cup and W. Shepherd the It medal. T. Prichard also annexed the Bulls Championship Cup. The trophies were presented after the shooting. Scores are as follow:—!’. Prichard, 69—70—139; W. Shopherd, 69—69—138; R. Hart, 70-r68—138; L. Huddleston, 68 —68 —136; G. Barclay, 69—67—136; P. Thorby, 68—67—135; E. Petersen, 68—65—133; S. Harris, 66-66 132; M. Demuth, 69 —62 —131; X. Ellery, 64—66—130; J. Hart, 64 —64 —128; J. Carthy, 60—65—125; C. Bailey, 56—62 ,118;. A. Tattle, 50—58—108. Bulls was tho centre for tho annual ! rally of the Palmerston North Bible Class j district on Monday, and over 150 dele- | gates gathered from all parts of the district. Their enthusiasm, combined with glorious weather, helped to make it one of the most successful rallies for some years. The delegates, on arrival, were met at the Town Hall, and morning tea was | served as many had come long distances, I some leaving their homes before 7 a.m. The proceedings commenced at 10.30 a.m. with a combined devotional meeting in the church, led by Rev. W. J. Berry (Rongotea), following which the young men and young women separated for sectional meetings. The former met in Clifton Hall and discussed various questions relating to the Bible classes. The ladies remained in the church and were addressed by Mrs Reid (Wanganui). At i noon all met in the Town Hall supper , room, where lunch was partaken of. The delegates afterwards wended their way to the Domain, where a sports programme occupied the whole of tho afternoon. There | was keen competition between the various J classes for the sports banner, which has been held by Marton for the past two I years. This time Palmerston North out- | fields classes succeeded in winning it, and ! members are to be congratulated on their ! fine performance, and all classes for tho | sporting spirit in which they contested j the events. The leading classes scored tho following points:—Palmerston North Outfields, 61; St. Andrew’s, Palmerston North, 51; Marton, 46; Bulls, 25. Afternoon tea was served by the members of the Bulls class. Rev. J. Hubbard, M.A., 8.D., president of the district committee, presented the banner to the winning team, remarking that it was pleasing to note that the coveted trophy was circulating among the classes. Mr Berry received the banner on behalf of his club. Mr Hubbard also expressed the thanks of all fhe classes for the excellent manner in which tho Bulls class had conducted the rally. The proceedings for the day were closed by a short and fitting address by Mr Frank Nicol, of Marton, on “What the Bible Class means to me,’’ and a prayer by Rev. A. W. Smaill, of Huntcrville. Following are the handicaps for a progressive tennis tournament to commence on October 27 and finish before December 16, players to arrange their own matches: —Robertson and Miss Glasgow, scr.; C. V. Green and Miss I. Walker, 6; G. D. Flower and Miss Walker, 2: P. Ralfo and Miss P. Price, 6; M. Gould and Miss Goodall, 6; F. Ralfo and Miss Kearney, 8; R. Mansell and Mrs Green, 8; G. Montgomerie arid Miss Ralfe, 8; B. Henderson and Mrs Ralfe 8; G. Johnstone and Mrs Hendry 8; L. Homes and Miss Minnie Kearney, 10; L. Ransom and Mrs Armstrong, 10; G. Fitches and Mrs Bland, 10; L. Hillier and Mrs McKay, 12; H. Hendry and Miss Haycock, 12; W. Farrer and Miss Ede, 10; R. Mackay and Miss Stevens, 15; M. Amon, 8. Mr and Mrs 11. T. U. Marumaru, of Parewanui, left this week for a tour of Australia.
