KOMAKO.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) MT. RICHARDS, Oct. 24. The district is looking its best at present. The grass is long, the willows green, and cool mountain streams plentiful in their 6uppiy of water. The sheep are in fine condition for shearing, which will take place before long.

On Wednesday morning search parties comprising approximately fifty people penetrated the ranges to assist in the search for the missing girls from Te Rehunga, as they had been expected to emerge in this vicinity. Some hours later news of their safety was received, so the signal that the quest was over was sent to the searchers by the medium of log fires lighted on the hills opposite at Mount Richards.
