ROAD CYCLING.

CENTENARY THOUSAND RACE. MELBOURNE, Oct. 25. When the Centenary Thousand cycle race competitors reached Mount Buffalo this morning, on the fifth stage of the race, the road beyond was impassable on account of rain. The route will probably now be varied for the return via Wangaratta. The riders arrived at Mount Buffalo drenched after their arduous climb and covered with mud. Watson (New Zealand) was the firs* to arrive, Cruise, Mithouard and Opperman following. Watson won the A grade sprint.
