CRICKET.
The mid-week cricket match scheduled for yesterday between Feilding and Optimists (Palmerston North) under the auspices of the Manawatu Cricket Association’s Wednesday series did not eventuate, the city team, which was expected to play at Johiipton Park failing to put in an appearance on lvowliai Park, through a misunderstanding regarding the venue. The local eleven spent the afternoon in a practice game. FEILDING COMPETITION. The following team will represent Colyton against Public Service in the opening games of the Feilding competitions on Saturday:—Bramwell, Telford, J. Waldin, M. Waldin, Howell, •H. Fitzlierbert, MacLeod, Elliott, Blamires, Hocken, Power. Emergencies: M. Fitzlierbert, Shepherd. SATURDAY’S .FIXTURES. The following are the fixtures and the teams to supply material for Saturday’s games:— A grade.—Public Service (m) v. Colyton, Park No. 1; Feilding (in) v. Old Boys Park No. 2. B grade.—Wesley (m) v. Feilding, Park No. 3; High School (m) v Sanson, Park No. 4.
