RONGOTEA TOWN BOARD

MR L. H. YARRALL RE-ELECTED CHAIRMAN. 14 YEARS’ SERVICE. The ratepayers of Rongotea have again indicated their faith in the ability of Mr L. H. Yarrall as chairman of the Town Board ; at the election held recently Mr Yarrall was unanimously re-elected chairman for a further term. Many fine qualities are prominent characteristics of Mr Yarrall. Adding to these qualifications his wide experience in public affaire, careful deliberation and reasoning of important matters concerning the board’s activities, it is not surprising to learn that he is again directing the public affairs of the community. For 14 consecutive terms Mr Yarrall has been -chairman, and past and present members of the board all speak in the highest terms of praise of his work. During his residence in Rongotea lie has taken a keen interest in all activities organised for the betterment of the district and the energy which he has put into public efforts has made him one of the district’s most popular and highly respected citizens. As a horticulturist his value to the Rongotea Horticultural Society is well recognised and appreciated The town clerk, Mr A. Trenkner, is also deserving of credit for the able manner in which the records and books have been kept during his term of office.
