OBITUARY.

MR J. J. MOORE. The death occurred at Otaki yesterday of Mr Joseph James Moore at the age of 70. Mr Moore, who was born in Hobart, came to New Zealand as a boy, and later served at the Maori trouble in Pongario and Parihaka. For 20 years he farmed in the Wellington district, and was a partner in a firm of carriers at Lyall Bay. Ten years ago he went to Otaki. A widow and a grown-up family are left. Members of the family are: Mrs Taylor (Brooklyn), Mrs Compton (Kilbirnie), Mrs Fox (The Summit), Mrs Green (Wellington), Mrs Langdon (IChandallali), Mrs D. Richards (Otaki), Misses Phyllis and Violet Moore (Otaki), Mr Jack Moore (Lyall Bay), Mr Clarence Moore (Otaki) Mr Joseph Moore (London).
