TURNER AT BAGDAD,

BAGDAD, Oct. 21. Turner and Pangborn arrived at 2 a.m. Disaster nearly overtook tliem. Turner made an uncertain landing. He circled the aerodrome and came down with the wind, .just clearing an embankment and missing some telegraph wires by inches. Officials started up the engines of the ambulances ready for a disaster. However, Turner skilfully recovered and made a fair landing. He said be had been delayed by mist over Europe. He left at 2.40 a.m.
