LOVELOCK SUCCESSFUL.

AT ATHLETIC MEETING

Received September 20, 1.50 p.m. OSLO, Sept. 19. At the international athletic meeting, held at Toensberg, on a heavy track, the 1500 metres race was won by J. E. Lovelock (New Zealand) in 4min 5 2-ssec. He completely out-ran his opponents in an excellent race. In the 400 metres Rathbone won easily in 51 l-ssec. In the 200 metres Horsfall (Australia) won in 22}sec. The 1000 metres relay was won by Lovelock. Rathbone, Horsfall, and Townsend in 2min 1 9-10 sec., Rathbone, the last runner, beating Carson (Norway) by a fraction of a second.
