WRESTLING.

SONNENBERG—MEYER. At the Opera House, Palmerston North, on Wednesday, 26th inst., one of the best matches, if not the best, of the season will be staged when Dr Freddie Moyer, the Jewish wrestler, will meet the world famous Gus Sonnenberg. If any wrestler at present in this Dominion can beat the ex world’s champion, then it is Meyer. Meyer is a very powerful man, heavier than Sonnenberg, with a repertoire of holds that, make him a dangerous opponent if any opening is allowed him. He has gained falls by a greater variety of holds than any other man in the game to-day. Hammerlocks, boston crabs, drop-kicks and numerous others are exploited bv this versatile grappler. Sonnenberg is . undoubtedly the best exponent of the flying tackle the world has ever seen; his experience in this method was gained on the football field and it was per medium of this deadly attack that lie won the championship belt from Strangler Lewis in 1930. Sonnenberg’s deadly tackle has a demoralising effect on his opponent, and it will be interesting to seo how the big American will take to it. One thing is quite certain, that with such a draw the Opera House will bo all too small to hold ■those who would see such a contest, and to make sure of a' seat an early visit should be made. to the Central Booking Office, where the plans will he opened on Monday morning.
