NEW ZEALANDER’S DEATH.

PROMISING LIFE ENDED. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 20. Allen Raymond Smith, the New Zealander, who was killed on Tuesday while bathing at Hunstanton (England), was a brilliant student at Canterbury College. He graduated Bachelor of Engineering (civil) in 1929, taking a temporary position as an assistant at the School of Engineering. He was a college football blue in 1926 and 1927, boxing half blue in 1926, and full blue in 1927. He also represented the New Zealand University at Rugby in 1929. He went to England m June, 1932. His relatives reside in Hawke’s Bav.
