HEALTH SERVICE.

KIWITEA COUNTY QUOTA. ’The Health Department forwarded a request to the Kiwitea County Council yesterday for a contribution of 6.5 per cent, of the cost of the supervision of the county by the health officer. It was stated that other local bodies which had been approached had agreed generally to the suggested quota of contribution. The county clerk (Mr W. L. Hesseltine) stated that the council’s previous rate of contribution on a basis of about £37 per annum was very near the 6.5 per cent, proportion, so there would he little difference to the council under the new suggestion. The council agreed to tho new basis of contribution to the health officer’s service.
