The Salvation Army Band provided a very enjoyable programme of music at the Hospital yesterday, the entertainment being much appreciated by the inmates. The Garrison Band provided a programme of music from the rotunda in the Square yesterday afternoon, there being a fair attendance of the public. Singing for a wife is the custom of the natives of Eastern Nepal. The young Limbu tribesman, having led liis prospective bride before the chief, bursts into song, and is only successful in liis wooing if his repertoire pleases the chief and. is better than, his rival’s.
