HOKOWHITU SCHOOL.

_ 9 11 Friday night the Bokowliitu School Committee held another of their popular community sings in the schoolroom. There was practically a capacity house and patrons entered wholeheartedly into the spirit of the sing and spent an enjoyable time. The singing was interspersed with items by Mr King and Mr Wilson, Beryl Chrystall and Pauline Huntington, while Aunt Rene, of 2ZF, was responsible for items by Nancy Robertson, June McKenzie and Athol Gilbert. The chairman, Mr P. V. Burns, apologised for the absence of Mr Selwyn and expressed the committee’s thanks to Mrs Barlow and Mr Renwick, also to the contributing artists. As a result of numerous requests another sing will be held in the near future.
